Covid-19 tests are taking 5-7 days to be ready in the US and there just isn't enough time for the test to be ready.

I don't understand what the issue is here. Your Covid test is almost useless after 3 days and certainly will not be more functional after 4.
But there is a solution to your problem. Simply get another Covid test in the US. There are now commercial sites where you pay a fee and the turn around time is less than 1 day, or sooner.
Taking the test before return will not only fulfill TAP's requirement for testing, but more importantly will give you some peace of mind that you will not be importing disease back to your home country.
Furthermore, with a <1 day Covid test on top of a prior negative Covid test and 5 days of self isolation, you will almost assuredly be virus free, which hopefully is yours and TAPs ultimate aim
