As a technical matter, CX can certainly reissue your ticket without the initial segment and price accordingly, but you will find them hard to deal with. You could certainly call and start that process. Alternatively, see what is available for a new booking and then cancel the old booking for a full refund.
As noted, just because that second segment is still on the schedule does not remotely mean that you should plan on it operating.
There's almost nothing available for alternative dates on the GRU-LHR sector and I would consider just ditching it. I'm not too keen to go to Brazil in the near future anyway.
I'm not keen to get the ticket reissued and repriced as it would be the same number of miles and much higher taxes and fees!
Of course the SYD sector isn't guaranteed to operate either but you never know....
