I have a 7 night Cat4 certificate that I just tried to use at a property in Hau Hin Thailand.
It appears that the hotels in Hau Hin have set 1 night a week at peak redemption (30k) points, the other 6 nights a week are all at 25k a night.
Therefore my 7 night Cat4 certificate cannot be used.

I thought that a workaround for this was for Marriott to cancel the certificate, take the points and add a courtesy adjustment to reissue a certificate 1 category higher to cover the specific redemption. Or can't the hotel take my Cat4 certificate at 150k points and take 5k points from my account to get the 155k points needed for 7 nights

Am I missing something?
This just doesn't feel right.
