Perfect timing - I was about to book a nice trip of ORD-ZYZ ret. CDG-ORD. With this new price, I can buy my wife's ticket for $490 instead of $289 cash and miles and let her get something for it... I was still buying myself a B ticket (only $800) to get the nice mile bonus so I can barely scrape out a PE card for next year.
