Great tip - I did some scouring and found it [or an article, at least]
here. It talks about how there's a wave of management contract cancellations and rebrandings in the wake of COVID, with many companies reviewing how much they're paying in fees to carry a certain brand and opting to switch to brands that are cheaper to franchise [i.e. Four Seasons Pudong's recent conversion to IHG's Regent brand, and how IHG had a more moderate fee structure]. Apparently, the original Four Seasons in Puxi, which closed for a major renovation this year, is also supposed to shed the brand - eek.
Tangent aside, the New World Hotel will convert to a Hyatt Centric; changeover should happen by/in Q4 along with the Caption.
