During World War II, Cholula and I loved going to their concerts. Of course, we could not attend any of their USO shows as you had to be in the military for that and both of us were much too old to enlist. (We were not, however, shirkers. We had both fought in the Spanish-American War. In fact, we were in Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders unit. I will never forget the day that Teddy led the charge up San Juan Hill. Neither of us went up the hill with Teddy. I couldn't join the charge because I left my charge card in the hotel and Cholula simply misunderstood the order and instead of going up the hill, he went over the hill).
Were you there to remember the Alamo too? [I don't mean where you left the rental car.]
