There are entrances to corridors which, after walking the time I specified, will deposit you in an area where you can then go to a platform to a train. CPH-Flyer had an apt description.

Obviously walking inside with AC is preferable in the middle of August, but as far as comparisons of the time it takes to get to transit, there is no difference between walking X minutes to a station entrance where you can get to the platforms very quickly, and walking ~0 minutes to a station entrance followed by X minutes of walking inside to a platform.

And if you're going to Akasaka-Mitsuke the underground way is less direct and slower so you go above ground anyway, but then you're at the mercy of lights to cross the road which can add a couple minutes if the timing isn't in your favor.

Back to the actual thread topic, thanks to Tokyoite for the photos. I was supposed to stay here but obviously that fell though. The cash rates still seem high though. I'm looking at some nights in Nov and they're 10k yen more per night than the Prince Gallery and the same as the Tokyo EDITION? Maybe this will be my credit card cert property until it inevitably moves to Cat7.
