Mount Baker was regularly visible from the top of the street by my aunt's house on the mountainside in West Vancouver, BC. The same aunt that had someone in the family travelling one way or the other across the Atlantic by Wardair in the 1960s-80s. The same one that bought and paid for my first jet flight, in a British Eagle One-Eleven from Liverpool to London (all these and more covered in past posts). Whenever visiting, if in the car we went over the crest I always slowed or stopped to see if Mt Baker was visible.
