Morning all
After
PETER01's instruction (!) upstream, here is a quick summary of my flight to AMS this morning. To help with the question from
Chris9642, I made sure I sat in the back row of Club, in Row 7, to see how quick service came.
But first, to the terminal
At the First Wing, my BP was scanned and I was handed a questionnaire card which was new for me - I will complete it later today.
I was welcomed at the CCT door by a Baxter Storey staff member. There was no BA presence when I arrived, but actually for most of the time there was a BA person at the door.
In the CCT - 5 passengers at 6.30am but by 7am there was only one other passenger. The terrace glass is now frosted so the CCT isn't visible from GF
Breakfast was OK - the scrambled egg is nothing to write home about but the service was really good, fast and personal.
Then it was time to leave the lounge and head to T5B
All shops in T5A appear to be open, but almost all shops in T5B are closed (except WHSmith). No BA lounge in T5B
The 787-8
... and onboard. I had chosen a coffin seat as I haven't tried that before. Actually I quite liked it and a last-row coffin seat would be a good choice for me, especially on a night flight. Not sure what's happening with pointy guy
The safety demo had to be done twice, once for the forward-facing pax and then again for the rear-facing pax. I assume not enough cabin crew to cover both at once
Breakfast... the brown paper bag! Served within 10 minutes of takeoff - all pretty quick
... and, for
PETER01, the fizz

Plenty of time to drink one of these little bottles, although I have to admit I wimped out of drinking it all as I am meeting a client in 30 minutes!
Hope you enjoyed this little mini TR
