Yes, this is where I came out, Grace looks like a great property but the pricing seems just completely unrealistic right now. I could see how they could get away with that in a normal summer but not right now when a lot of the other properties are slashing prices. Even then, is it really worth 25-30% more a night than the Connaught in London / Upper House in Hong Kong? I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
The only other place I could think of with a vaguely comparable market to Santorini is Mykonos, although it's different in some ways too.
The ever popular question of where to stay in Santorini....I had this question last October. After considering all the recommendations like Grace, Katikies, etc., I settled on Andronis Luxury Suites in Oia because I liked their Exclusive Suite with private infinity pool. It had a spectacular view and that private infinity pool was killer. Service was terrific and quality of in room dining was great as well. Not sure what their rates are right now though.
