I'm absolutely sure there were lots of package tours on busses in both directions a while ago (well, more than ayear ago).
Not sure for now.
Maybe when in Cairo you can ask Egypt travel agent for such a package tour bus, instead of the foot-cross adventure (it can be very "prety").
