Originally MR had a lifetime Plat status (normally75 nights per year, so more than Starwood Plat/LTP) that had requirements in terms of lifetime nights (1000 IIRC) and spend, plus earlier years in the program, although I don't think there ever was a requirement of years at Plat level (and never PP level, which was an unpublished invitation only level).
