OT but not accurate. This has been discussed extensively in the Bonvoy forum and the rules changed during the merger. Originally MR had a lifetime Plat status (normally75 nights per year, so more than Starwood Plat/LTP) that had requirements in terms of lifetime nights (1000 IIRC) and spend, plus earlier years in the program, although I don't think there ever was a requirement of years at Plat level (and never PP level, which was an unpublished invitation only level). MR lifetime Plats became Bonvoy LTP, but then Starwood lifetime Plats (500 lifetime nights and ten years of SPG Plat status at 25 stays or 50 nights per year) complained and..........
