Until we have some clarity about if/when we will be allowed to travel again for work or want to travel for fun, it will be hard to convince people to pay annual fees and earn points that can't really be used. As one of the lucky few grandfathered in with the $99 annual fee due to my lifetime club membership, I'll hold on to the card for another year or so. My other high fee cards (Amex Plat + Chase Ritz) offer enough other bonuses that I can justify the annual fee. With structural devaluations to Mileage Plus the Presidential Plus card is increasingly hard to justify.
