How about an autumn weekend using the exceptional value Corfu or Catania fares; £238 each for 160TPs or knock it down further with a few Avios
I'm chasing 3,750 required to get GGL. My tier point year resets in December so we have a Madeira planned that month, a SOF to HNL return over New Year and then this Easter trip. Gaining tier points this collection year wont really help me but adding the usual work trips in 2021 and these tier point heavy leisure leisure trips should get the 3,750 required. I did consider the wasted time but with a 06:00 out of LGA we still get to Orlando before 13:00 so not too bad. Just an early start and then the risk of a AA schedule change and some tight connections under 40 minutes. My son loves it as he's another plane geek but my wife and daughter think I am crazy, as do most of my friends apart from kingcole974 .
