As long as the airfare difference between C and C+ is reasonable, I almost always purchase a seat in C+. I usually book at least a month out so I am able to pick a good seat. The free drinks are nice. But I prefer the extra legroom, guaranteed overhead bin space and the ability to deplane quicker. I flew LAX-NRT-LAX in premium economy on JAL. It was a really good experience and worth the extra money in my opinion. PE on JAL includes lounge access. The Sakura Lounge in NRT was a treat
