6 hours later (just after 5 PM HST/0300 GMT) Doug predicted eye track continues to drift north of the islands - here's NHC/CPHC's latest:

Based on their latest predicts, NHC/CPHC indicates the eastern part of Hawaii County will feel Doug's tropical storm force winds between midnight and 2 am HST:

Maui gets the tropical force wind bands less than 6 hours later (~6 to 8 am) and Sunday offers up Oahu's eastern shores probably around mid-morning with, if the eye passes over the island, hurricane force winds after Noon.

Kauai gets the TS winds last in the early evening.

Here's JTWC's latest track with CPAs to various HI installations (note: distances are in nautical miles):

Finally, here's the latest GeoColor shot from GOES West/NOAA showing that the Big Island's east side is about to feel the initial outer band of Doug:

Next 24 hours will let all of us know how well these predictions hold up.

Stay safe to all of our HI FTers.
