Just got a letter from Delta, with a big BOLD headline: "The state of WA
requires us to notify you that your unclaimed property may be
transferred to the state if you do not contact us"

A blogger has also received such a letter and posted about it:

Per the letter, I have until 8/14 to respond or the amount indicated (of the gift card) will be handled as unclaimed
property and reported to the appropiate jurisdiction based upon individual state regulation.

I replied, checking the line "I am the owner of the gift card. Please continue to maintain the balance for me."

Called the DM line, and they had no clue what this is about, perhaps because it is a state issue. They were
quite emphatic about the fact that a gift card never expires, as long as I have the code and pin, it will be good.

Wanted to ask the FT community if they have ever run across anything like this this before.
