Thanks. They were not rude but I was surprised when they didn't immediately back down when I showed them the confirmation page listing taxes and fees as "included". They then started talking about the terms and conditions I signed when I joined choice rewards. After some back and forth I got really irritated and threatened the chargeback which quickly resolved the matter.
Resort fees are a scam, everyone knows it, especially the hotels themselves. But if they are going to charge it, list it clearly during the booking process and then I can at least choose whether I want to book it or not.
