I’ve just done dummy bookings to replicate 3 trips to Manchester I have later this year and they all (HI, CP and Kimpton) state include 5% Vat and no mention of any “12.5% service charge”
London Crown Plaza - The City, Saturday July 25 - all rates include 12.5% service charge, even though this is also stated: "
Taxes and Fee Details: Discretionary service charge is added to your food and beverage bill when dining at our restaurants, bar or ordering room service."
So what exactly is the 12.5% service charge for when the rate does not include dining?
