Today the State Duma approved a law allowing single-entry e-visas for all of Russia (pre-COVID those were limited to St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad region and Far East) starting from January 2021. No information on eligible countries yet, and the border is still closed for most non-citizens due to the pandemic.
