I did some LAS-LAX legs in that timeframe and my flights were mainline. But I have a vague memory that the route either was served by a mix of mainline and Eagle and/or by a mix of aircraft type.

Edited to add: I found a 2001 timetable online that shows the route operated by all MD80s (6x/day).
