But at least at my gambling level, that typically works out to significantly less value than you get with a comp night offer -- my Mlife comp night offers in Vegas are typically "up to 2-3 nights comped" vs. getting maybe $50-100 worth of incidental spend taken off the bill at checkout on an FHR rate.
I could imagine that potentially very high rollers might be able to get effectively an FHR stay fully comped at check out, but I suspect someone playing at the level required to get that treatment would probably have a host and would be able to get at-least-as-good-as-FHR treatment associated with their comp room night offers direct from Mlife.
This was even true for me when I compared a THC stay at Vdara vs. MLife Gold rate (so nothing I would be comped for, just a discount). I would be in effect paying $300 more in room rate+taxes for a $100 F/B credit (the Vdara rate was $420 for a four night stay over a weekend, which is insanely cheap for a good Strip resort incorporating a Saturday night stay, it went to $720 if I went through THC). Um, thanks, but no- plus I have AMEX Green and Gold so I even score more AMEX points paying with my Green card.
