It is definitely possible to receive some comps in this case (asking at the Mlife desk before checking out for them to review your play and apply any comps to your spend). But at least at my gambling level, that typically works out to significantly less value than you get with a comp night offer -- my Mlife comp night offers in Vegas are typically "up to 2-3 nights comped" vs. getting maybe $50-100 worth of incidental spend taken off the bill at checkout on an FHR rate.
I could imagine that potentially very high rollers might be able to get effectively an FHR stay fully comped at check out, but I suspect someone playing at the level required to get that treatment would probably have a host and would be able to get at-least-as-good-as-FHR treatment associated with their comp room night offers direct from Mlife.
