I am flying into GVA, and staying in a hotel right in the centre of Ferney Voltaire. On google maps, this hotel is very close to the French exit for GVA airport. I am aware GVA has both Swiss and French exits, can I get off my flight and walk out of the French sector into Ferney? On google images it looks like the road has no pavements so unsure what the deal is.

I have been to GVA previously and stayed in Ferney due to the hotels being much cheaper in France, previously I exited in the Swiss side, and got a tram to the border at Meyrin Graviere, then walked into Ferney. However on maps it looks much quicker/closer to just exit the French side and walk into Ferney.
