I assumed you only have access to N95, so that's what you'll be tightening. I also tighten the straps on the N100, which got pretty warm before taxing last week. Obviously if you can find a respirator and N100 filters, that would be a lot more protection "just in case."

To respond to another comment: we deboarded in sections (from a full, shorter flight last week). Don't know if that is being universally enforced. One of our bags came off in the first 10; another took over a half-hour, and I noted other people from the back were still showing up. (Sheesh, had they gone to APU?)

Nothing is purely safe; it's all about relative risk and risk management.
