You are missing the point. Please do a search for Charter One or Gift Cards..... the goal is not to have ready access the cash via an ATM - it's to charge up money on your credit card for the FF mi or pts and then redeem the purchase for currency.

If the fees are <1c per $ charged on your CC, the method becomes a 'good deal' to get FF mi. Otherwise, it's up to the end user to decide whether the method is worth it to earn miles or not.

PS. I've purchased a card from MyMccard.com nearly a year ago.

IIRC, The fees didn't make the deal a sustainable one. I remember paying $10 to buy the $500 card at the grocery store, $20 from my available balance to upgrade it to the higher limit ($2500), and $5 x 4 times to buy $500 recharge cards at the grocery store. I ended up cancelling the acct within 30 days and they ended up mailing me a check for all the amount I had loaded into the card plus a refund of all the fees except the reload fees I paid at the grocery store.

I don't think they'll let you do this on a regular basis but my final cost was something like $20 for 2480 mi. Plus you have to take the risk that these guys will follow through with the TILA and send you your money promptly (within 7 days of your request is what I believe the law dictates). In their defense though, I don't remember any delay in receiving the check.
