yes. i definitely agree. life is too short to worry about stupid things. so for me, that includes SNAs. similar to your pet peeve, i hate it when the SNA clears, but after arrival, your room is a standard room, but with a better view or an extra coffee table. many times, ive been told I have a "corner suite", but its simply a regular room in the corner. just because the windows on each side of the wall come together to make a corner in a room does not mean its a suite. its simply a marketing gimmick for room classification.
maybe my experience would be different if i was AMB. i hope they treat you well because plenty AMB have told me its nothing special. i guess its YMMV based on assigned rep. but titanium is good enough for me because no way would i spend 20k at marriott. Hyatt Glob and IHG RA/Kimp IC is a much better use of spend for me.

The walking in to a standard room experience is not an SNA experiences, it is when getting an upgrade at check-in. Or as these experiences are "upgrade".
I only started as ambassador quite late in 2019, and comparing 2020 with pre ambassador 2019 is probably not a very level comparison. But they do treat me well, and my ambassador is very proactive. But let's see if it lasts when hotels are back to more occupancy levels.
