Last fall I got a promotional deal at the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas for 5 nights for $600 if I attend a time share presentation. I booked this stay for August 27, and now because of COVID and Hawaii's lockdown we're being forced to cancel. Westin is refusing to provide a refund, only allowing use to move the dates within the next year. But we are unable to travel the rest of the year do to other travel commitments (if they happen). I pushed several agents for a refund and non of them budged. Anyone have any suggestions on moving forward, or does it look like we're out the $600? Think I could contest the CC charge (booked using Chase Sapphire Preferred)?
i havent done the promo in hawaii, but i have done similar promos in orlando. AFIK once you buy these, there is no refunds. You can change dates but you cant get your money back. it's just like a timeshare. once they got your money, they arent going to give it up if they can get away with it.
