As you will see from my number of posts, not the great of posters, but one of the world's greatest lurkers!! A number of you will know I posted responses when I worked for BA, but still lurk here since leaving.

I would just like to say what a pleasure, mostly, it has been reading all the posts over the last two years. As the locked thread would indicate there have been some issues over the last week or so.

I think this board serves a number of purposes

1) To inform exec card holders of offers etc.

2) As a forum for people to ask advice, be it connections between T1 and T4 or how to complain to BA. I don't think there has ever been a question posted here, which one of us has not been able to answer!!

3) Those "special events" for instance the thread that was entitled "Merry if you are online". Where the flyertalk community comes together to help out someone.

4) For general banter (a certain BA CSD!!!)It has been a pleasure reading your posts, and to see your honesty when we (even though I've left BA I cannot help but say "we") get things wrong.

5) As a forum where BA staff can look at what you guys are saying and try and act to rectify what has gone wrong. I'm not saying every post will mean an instant response, but trust me, this forum is essential viewing for a number of people in Waterside.

6) As a BA news portal, the likes of Scott C and Doc, keep us informed of all the goings on within BA.

7) Last but not least is Merry, making a few guest apperances back on the board. His knowledge of BA is unrivalled. I missed the incident which lead Merry to feel it was unwise to post. However I think this is a big loss to the board.

With my 26 posts or whatever, you can tell me to take a hike, I know there are people who have over 2000 posts. I just feel we need to get the board back to where it is most productive.
