No, OP is not due a refund and thus there is no chargeback to be had. He flew the ticket. When his flight was cancelled, his Section 8 options included a rebooking or a refund. He took the former (sensibly). Thus, no refund and thus no (successful) chargeback.
OP simply does not want to accept that, other than perhaps reimbursement for a meal under the carrier's duty of care, it will not pay out compensation for the delay. Thus, he will have to sue. He will likely lose. But, it is choice to do so. Sometimes people will not take "no" for an answer and thus have to have it told to them by a court.
