10 years ago, the worst post WW2 maritime disaster in Europe occured, with the sinking of the Estonia and the loss of 852 lives. Although that was a decade ago, I still firmly remember the event - it still doesn't seem that long ago.

There was a documentary on TV4 last night, certainly was very sad to watch, especially as some of the survivors recounted their experiences that fated night. Watching footage inside the ship, it was very telling with the various blurred out faces in the various pieces of footage, people who never made it.

I believe there is a minute's silence at 15.00 for the victims of the disaster.
