A positive UA story - from Euroboy - now known as Idiotboy

Story goes like this: Euroboy is checking in for his NRT->SFO->SEA flight just 60 minutes ago in Narita (routing due to a D-fare in the SFO->NRT market). All confirmed in NF using a SWU. Agent mentions she can get me on the the direct NRT->SEA flight. I say that I'm not interested (not mentioning this is because I'm confirmed all the way in NF). Stupid me does not even ask if there is NF space on this flight...Then she mentions she can get me on the earlier NRT->SFO->SEA flights. Same reply from IdiotBoy (Formerly known as EuroBoy).
Agent is of course smarter than I am, so she continues: "Mr. EuroBoy - I can see that you are a GS customer and you are using a SWU to upgrade to NF. We are light on the NRT->SEA load today - so if I can offer you 2J on the direct SEA->NRT flight with no extra cost - would you be interested?"
This is where I realize that I was just being hit (hard!) with a case of 'The Reverse Speech' - and I just nodded my head, thanked her very, very much - letting her know how much I enjoy flying United, and went on my way to the F-class lounge...

Sad, but true.

But United really made my day - I was not looking forward to a 2 hr. layover @ SFO plus another 1 hr. and 37 minutes on an ex-S*ttle before getting home. Yeah!

Not sure if I should laugh or cry...
