My US state count will have to stay at 33 for now. The refunded flights (WTP), car and accommodation have paid off a trip for November (also through not great Covid hotspots in the US - worst case scenario it ends up as an FTV), four nights in Venice in January, half paid for a trip to New England next May and bought me a little pop-pop runaround for a trip to the Highlands during my original leave dates for August!
A little downhearted that I don't have a big road trip like usual this summer, but can do the same closer to home, providing my new investment doesn't die in the next six weeks, and can now concentrate on planning out the next trips. For me half of the fun is in the planning - bright ideas, big maps and a red pen!

Now that sounds like a great trip! Here's to hoping you get to do it soon. I hit 49 states last year, and that was a fun achievement. Hoping to make it to HNL in the coming weeks now that they are opening a bit more to mark my last US state. I am a bit surprised by how many here had planned trips to the USA. I always thought there was more leisure traffic heading the other way. Who would have thought we would see a time when that was impeded? Thank God for second passports, but let's hope the restrictions end soon, on both sides!
