Krogers in my area - and quite possibly all areas where they have stores - have this special running this week: buy at least 4 Kelloggs cereals (10 oz each or larger) at the same time and receive an instant $6 off your order plus a certificate for $4 off any future purchase at Kroger, to see the ad click here
http://louisville.inserts2online.com...arge191683.jpg . If you buy a total of 20 boxes of Kelloggs cereal you would actually turn a PROFIT of $25 IF the boxes of cereal have coupons on the back of the box good for $50 Series EE Savings Bonds (10 coupons will give you one $50 bond with an initial cash-in value of $25 each, my family is partial to Kelloggs Complete cereal which - at least at my store - now have the Bonds certs on the back instead of the American AAdvantage certs that they've had for the past few years). Here's how:
1. Buy 4 boxes of Kelloggs Complete (or similar cereal with Bond certs), my cost was $3.75 ea, do this for a total of 5 transactions (grand total of 20 boxes of cereal), initial cost = $75 - $30 instant savings - $20 off future Kroger visits = $25 total cost
2. Mail in the 20 Savings Bonds coupons, for every 10 coupons you will receive a $50 Series EE bond ($25 ea face value) so total present value for 20 coupons would be $50
3. Bottom line for purchasing 20 boxes would be $50 present value of bonds MINUS $25 cost of 20 boxes of cereal = $25 PROFIT, plus you would have 20 boxes of cereal!
