Thanks for the replies so far. Honestly the logistics of travelling with a baby is not super high on the concern list (though speak to me again after if we do it!). Covid aside, have you had a test flight with your baby, perhaps a shorthaul? If not, be aware that some babies have difficulties to adjust to air pressure. This is very painful on a shorthaul flight but imagine this for 18 hrs + in flight. I know what I‘m taking about.
Another major point many are not aware is the size of the bassinet. You‘ll probably not want to book an extra seat for the toddler but at the age of 9 month babies can be borderline too large. Worst case you’ll have the baby on your seat the whole time. Since the size of bassinets vary considerably you might want to check beforehand.
