I might ask nicely on arrival at PHL if they can put me on an earlier AA flight to ORD despite having bags. My PHL-ORD flight is at 6pm... there is an PHL-ORD earlier flight at 4pm. I have a OneWorld Emerald card through BA so I guess we can see what they say. Absolutely dreading it! It was booked before the ORD airside TTB went kaput! (even before that it was risky!). The cost of changing the flight doubles the cost of the original journey! I wish I could just buy a flight to ORD on airmiles onto the 4pm flight but I know missing the 6pm would cancel the rest of the journey

Good luck and let us know how it went. A daily call to AA couldn't hurt.
