Anybody know about the seat details or manufacturer?
I've had an ear to the ground but not a murmur coming out of CX City or the seat companies.
Just as a data point: when CX launched its original premium economy, the whole thing was under wraps until the delivery flight of the first premium economy-equipped Boeing 777-300ER from Seattle to Hong Kong, and even then, we didn't know what to expect until we boarded the flight – the night before, at the delivery dinner, I managed to wrangle out of a Weber rep the catalogue model name/number of the seat, but we saw no pics, had no info, no nothing until we walked onto the plane. The actual announcement by CX (press release) was sent out I think around 10am the day the flight landed or maybe 10am the morning after, and our stories and pics were held under embargo until then.
So, barring any leak, CX
might send out a press release with pics and details just before it takes delivery of the A321neo, or even timed for when the A321neo arrives. Of course it could keep that release in the chamber for
any time between now and delivery that it needs a burst of 'good news', 'CX moving ahead' and all that.
At least, from previous CX declarations about the nature of this product, we know not to have hopes up
too high.
