I am planning a stay here soon and while it seems like a shared water taxi will make most sense to get from the airport to the hotel and fro everything I read it doesnt need to be prebooked.
What about getting from the hotel to the airport on the way back, what would people suggest as the best way to do this. I assume if I ask the hotel to arrange something it will cost a lot more than it needs to! Any advice very welcome!
I've stayed here twice and both times they were not able to arrange a shared taxi back to the airport or train station. It's a numbers game as more people are leaving the airport than the St. Regis, but I could definitely tell there was a "lack of enthusiasm" to try and help me with the request.
Depending on your luggage situation, it's very easy to take the alilaguna from San Marco but it's 80 minutes door-to-door. I'm pasting the blue line timetable as the others are non-operational currently, but additional lines may be up and running again by the time you get there.
