I suspect they would refuse to ship to Europe if I call them as well. Thanks for the offer of forwarding them for me, but I really think it should be possible to find a better option. I have continued to search for alternatives, and found that
sharperimage.com are willing ship outside the US. So that is currently my best option, although I would prefer to find a dealer within the EU so that I don't get hit by any additional taxes etc.
