This story in the Het Parool newspaper says the ferry between NDSM and Amsterdam CS could be cancelled temporarily, which would be a real disaster for the hotel. Maybe not if you are a tourist visiting Amsterdam, the other remaining ferry towards 'Pontsteiger' will lead you through an attractive residential neighborhood while walking towards the city center.

But if you need to make a connection at the Central Station this would be a terrible development. Nothing certain yet though, the tourism and business-hating board of Amsterdam is just thinking about it for the moment. But they already managed to scare away 80% of the cruise ships with their outrageous tourism taxes, so don't be surprised if they also cancel this ferry.
