Secondly, is there a way of finding BA flights running on a certain day between certain times? Two previous destinations are wiped out for the August schedule so I am looking for an alternative destination.

You can also use the timetable function on Experflyer - second tab, and there's a filter for removing codeshares and other airlines.
HarryHolden68 - I am happy to give you an extract for the day in question, it only takes a few seconds.
I think things will continue to firm up more next week after AA loads its schedule updates. One thing I would point out is that at the moment if you're using EF then there's a big disparity between aircraft types shown when you compare - say - BA prime flights and the corresponding codeshare. For example the AA codeshare may show a B747 or A380 where in fact it's an A350 or B788 / B789 operating the flight.
The other thing to bear in mind is that AA may show a schedule that is at variance with BA's. So, for example, BA has its LHR - DFW service (BA193) departing at 1250 whereas AA shows the same codeshare flight as departing at 1535. Itineraries that are generated on aa.com or shown in Matrix with AA codeshares may not be possible when you compare them with the prime BA operated flights.
