Many people reached out to CITI, but CITI had a very canned response along the lines of... we can confirm the miles were deposited into your account on such and such a day, but as for any account issues you will need to follow up with AA.
At least Citi's canned response is true and honest. Unlike AA's canned response of "Citi's Terms and Conditions prohibit multiple awards" Even after you send them the terms and ask them to point our where the multiple-award language is.
