I see this thread is quite old but since no one else mentioned Hanapepe I can't help myself! If anyone stumbles upon this thread and hasn't yet checked you Hanapepe on the island of Kauai I highly suggest it. There are several local giftshops specializing in everything from spices to carved wood. The creative diversity found in that little town is amazing. Definitely worth a stop! I believe they also have a weekly art night. Be sure to look it up!
