As with all news media, what works well is boring but what doesn't is newsworthy.
The pop-up operation I went to yesterday did not have a single news van covering it and there was not mention of it in the evening news.
It was highly efficient. I believe there were 6-8 drive in lanes and one walk-up (which I used). There were plenty of personal there and things moved briskly.
I suspect that there are other operations which are not quite as well run. However, everyone is trying their best and gleaming a negative news story out of their efforts without offering possible solutions is not only not helpful but demoralizing to those working the front lines.
Congrats to those reporters
