How do you guys suggest I get this proof from TAP?
I've emailed them and never got a reply. I also called months ago (before contacting cc about the chargebac) and was only offered the voucher option, which obviously I did not/do not want.
I'm thinking the best approach at this point is to record a call to TAP and use it as proof with the chargeback. What do you think?
I understand the chargeback process is easier on the consumer in the USA than elsewhere. That said, I submitted a timeline of all my interaction with TAP (date/time and length of calls, synopsis of conversation along with agent's name, copies of emails with timestamp, relevant EU and DOT legislation, and a brief cover letter stating that TAP is failing to take suitable action in a timely manner).
Can you try to make your request via Twitter or Facebook to see if they provide any response? For my SATA claim there was a web chat feature and I did a screen capture of my interaction where they replied "no refunds, here's the link for a voucher" which made it easy to prove, but I don't believe TAP has this option.
As a side note: recording audio without the consent of all parties is illegal in the USA and would require advising the agent of your intent to record at the start of the call. That's not to say people obey of course. Not sure how it works in Denmark.
