Anyone have had issues having the computer system automatically refund your FNA that you had attached to a reservation back into your account after you cancel? I originally had issues when I did my cancellation in April, as nothing was showing in my account. I then called in and spoke to a CSR who saw the problem and fixed it. I saw my new FNA, but then I got an email around that same day congratulating me on a new FNA for the renewal of my Bonvoy card. So I am not sure if the FNA that I am currently seeing in my account is the refunded FNA or a new one from my CC renewal. Anyone else do a cancel and refund successfully and was notified that the new FNA was deposited via an email that is the same as they send for a new FNA for CC renewal?
There have been reports of those certs not automatically redeposited after canceling a reservation made with such certs. I have experienced that myself, too. At least one person here has reported success with a work around where one would need to detach the cert from an unwanted reservation prior to cancellation. If the cert doesn't get redeposited automatically, then it will require a call to have it manually put back into your account.
