This is for future reference regarding how the WalMart Neighborhood Stores merchant codes shown on Chase cards, in our geographic area (South Florida).

I just noticed a small transaction on a Freedom card only earned 1x for the purchase made on June 22nd with the 5% grocery quarterly bonus activated on this card. The SAME store is coded 5x on CSR when the payment is made with CS desk (buying WMT GCs so can be used at Sam's and WMT supercenter), as well as eligible for PYB because it is coded as Grocery store. Good thing the transaction on Freedom is only a few bucks - just a token purchase to add an activity to that card which is idled since late 2019.

The only difference in transactions between the Freedom card and the CSR is, the Freedom's purchase is made at self-check out kiosk.

AMEX codes both self-check out and manned register the same - as grocery store when purchases made at the neighborhood stores, fwiw.
