I run into the opposite problem every so often. Im asthmatic and have this wheeze-cough multiple times a year. Been pulled aside over the years despite being healthy; usually have to show my inhaler and other stuff and they let me go.Typically happens in Singapore, China etc.

That said, I'm the minority. And it indicates that in some parts of the world, people actually pay attention to symptoms as opposed to it being just theatre.
