I've gotten that email in advance of most of my flights in the past 2 weeks. DCA-LAX, LAX-DCA, CHS-ONT, LAX-DCA. It's also almost impossible to book most flights on less than 2 days notice. I had to fly to SAV and drive to CHS because DCA-CHS was sold out almost 4 days in advance.
I'm also getting the voucher bidding pop-up in the app for most of these flights, but none of them are actually overbooked by time of boarding.
Pretty much my experience exactly. I have gotten the voucher bidding for about half my flights and have got the email to change (with no options) on every one so far this month. One time I was interested in the voucher, but wanted to know my options before entering my bid. There was a flight 4 hours later and I just wanted to make sure there was a spot on it. When I asked the gate agent, she looked at me like I was crazy because the flight I was on wasn't oversold. There ended up being a handful of empty seats on it.
